Daughter of alleged Mexican drug kingpin “El Mencho” arrested in Washington D.C.

The daughter of Mexican drug kingpin Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as”El Mencho,” was detained in Washington D.C. on drug trafficking charges, a U.S. official told CBS News. Oseguera Cervantes AKA El Mencho, allegedly the head of this Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion, is considered the”number one priority for DEA,” Matthew Donahue, the DEA’s leading representative in Mexico, told News reporters in September last year.
Jessica Johanna Oseguera Gonzalez, who’s called “La Negra,” was arrested Wednesday at the federal courthouse when she went to watch her brother, Ruben Oseguera Gonzalez, who is known as “El Menchito“. Ruben Oseguera Gonzalez charged with drug trafficking and has been extradited from Mexico last week.
This report came to CBS News Oseguera Gonzalez by a U.S. official, It was gathered that the United States Border Patrol agents were unaware she was under indictment.
She had been charged with engaging in transactions or dealings in properties with companies blacklisted by the Treasury Department that supposedly provided aid or CJNG.
Her dad El Mencho is believed to be hiding in Mexico. His cartel is liable for at least one-third of those medications entering the U.S. by land and sea – CBS News’ Adriana Diaz reported in September.
There’s a $10 million bounty for Oseguera Cervantes.
