As it’s the first movie In what might be a string of epic adaptations of the Sonic The Hedgehog narrative observed in Sega’s classic video game, the end to the film appears to flash some big arrows towards what a possible Sonic The Hedgehog 2 may be around.

(Ben Schwartz) and Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) has a rapid and furious chase around the world. From San Francisco to China, and eventually, back to Green Hills, Montana, the bad doctor follows our furry friend through his ringed portals of transportation with a flying machine that is powered by one of Sonic’s electrified quills.
Winding back in the Smalltown he’s secretly been residing for about a decade before the events of Sonic The Hedgehog, the existence of Sonic is confirmed into the townspeople; notably hedgehog theorist”Crazy Carl.” Prepared to take his little nemesis, Dr. Robotnik urges the town to stand aside and let things play out as they may.
But Sonic’s brand new buddy, Sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden,) stands in the manner of this passed-out hedgehog and his prospective assassin. When asked why he would do such a thing, Tom states it is because he and Sonic are friends. Awoken from his wounded state, and supercharged for a fight, Sonic climbs up and tosses one of his rings behind Dr. Robotnik’s aircraft.
In Authentic Sonic The Hedgehog fashion, our hero divides into his trademark Spinball creation and collides with Dr. Robotnik’s malicious flying device. The force of Sonic’s impact not just smashes apart the vehicle, it knocks this wicked villain to the measurement that Sonic was initially going to escape to a planet full of mushrooms, presumed to be the Mushroom Hill Zone from Sonic & Knuckles.
