Sony’s CES 2020 briefing brought with it a PlayStation 5 information, although it wasn’t much. Sony’s Jim Ryan appeared on stage to discuss some impressive stats regarding the PS4 and also to show the PlayStation 5 Logo.

Ryan also talked briefly about a number of the characteristics of this PlayStation 5, including 3D audio sound, flexible triggers for the new controller, a much faster SSD to improve loading times, in addition to ray-tracing along with an Ultra HD blu-ray drive. Each one of these attributes were already declared.

Ryan concluded his department by saying additional specifics about the PlayStation 5, for example, game lineup along with other characteristics, will be announced at a later date.
If history is any indication, Sony could share more PlayStation 5 information soon. As you may remember, Sony formally declared the PlayStation 4 back in February 2013, 1 month later CES that year.

Past the short quantity of PS5 talk, Ryan also shared some details about the performance of Sony’s current-gen games console, including that it is now marketed 106 million PS4s worldwide.
