At this Speed, if Another Spider-Man movie is Not about the Multiverse, something has gone horribly wrong in the MCU.
What, precisely, is happening with the next Spider-Man film? If That the Marvel Cinematic Universe wants fans to believe that the next film will dive heavily into the multiverse, then Marvel Studios is doing a fantastic job.
We learned this week that Jamie Foxx is Thought to be playing the villainous Electro in The movie, a role he initially played in 2014’s The wonderful Spider-Man 2.
Now, based on The Hollywood Reporter, What does that mean to get a movie that brings together the various Spider-Man universes? Well, the next Doctor Strange movie is called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. What’s more, that movie will be tied to Disney+’s WandaVision, which certainly looks to be set in some form of another reality.
The big question now is if this is a movie about the multiverse, How far can it take the concept? But if they’re bringing the universes together that means fans will visit that the former Spider-Men–Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire–suit up one more time. Why stop there, though? Bring Spider-Man: Into your Spider-Verse to live-action and provide us Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, along with a CG animated Spider-Man. The sky is really the limit with this.
Whatever the case, the next Spider-Man movie is scheduled to start filming later this month.
